Following the 2017 Grenfell Disaster, our predecessor company, Event Fire Solutions Ltd (EFS), was one of the first to provide waking watch services for buildings at risk. We provide wardens whether the risk is externally from applied exterior coatings/cladding or internally through the ineffective fire stopping and loss of fire compartmentalisation. We provide fire warden services across the UK, enabling landlords and housing associations to remain compliant with all legislation.
We specialise in providing qualified fire warden personnel from a combination of professional serving and recently retired fire fighters as well as fully trained fire wardens. Over the last 4 years we have provided waking watch services to local authority councils, national housing associations and private companies across the UK. Our services include waking watch fire Wardens, temporary wireless fire alarm systems and all types of firefighting equipment. We fall in line with the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) guidance for Waking Watch providing comprehensive and professional fire warden services tailored to the needs of the local authorities, building owners, managing agents and stakeholders.
EMFS Group was founded in 2020, merging two experienced companies to bring together our emergency, medical and fire solutions teams under one banner and offering a wider array of joined up solutions to our customers in the UK and overseas.

I have been working with Mr Paul Whiting & Event Fire Solutions for just over 11 Years, our initial project working together was at The London Olympic test Events throughout 2011-2012. They have always delivered on any task requested since too. The EFS team brings very high levels of both Fire service knowledge and Fire Safety Knowledge to each and every task, and safety is clearly their absolute priority. Nothing is too much to ask of EFS and they pride themselves on timely delivery and working to budgets on every occasion. I have no hesitation in recommending Paul & his team to any project no matter the size or environment.
Mark Wilkinson, Director, Westbank Ltd
With the scale and capability to respond to our needs across the country, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Event Fire Solutions. Their teams are not only highly experienced, with the ability to manage locations of varying size, they are also friendly and approachable, providing reassurance when needed. Their professionalism shines through as does their many years of experience.
We were required to act quickly when the legislation changed and the LFB required a waking watch to be in place. EFS reacted with efficiency and professionalism effecting a quick set up from commissioning. Accommodation was arrange in void flats within the blocks and a 24 hour control placed in the local estate office. All of the staff were professional and organised, and I did not receive any complaints, only complements from residents who were reassured by their presence. I was also impressed with the staff attitude and politeness as we worked alongside each other for nearly two months.
