Beyond Remembrance Day: How We Stand With Veterans Today

Beyond Remembrance - Poppies and Plane

As we approach Remembrance Sunday, EMFS Group takes a moment to honour the men and women who gave everything to protect and serve. Their courage and dedication continue to inspire us, and we recognise the sacrifices not only of those who served but also of their families. This is especially close to our hearts, as many EMFS team members are veterans, carrying forward their commitment to service in their roles with us, helping safeguard businesses and events across the UK.

For many veterans, the journey from military to civilian life comes with unique challenges, from finding stable employment and housing to accessing mental health support. This transition can be complex and requires a strong network of resources to ensure every veteran is supported.

UK Armed Forces

In this post, we share some of the key organisations making a difference for veterans and their families:

Royal British Legion – This essential charity provides financial, social, and emotional support to members and veterans of the British Armed Forces, along with their families. Their services range from financial assistance to employment support, offering a crucial lifeline for veterans.

SSAFA, the Armed Forces Charity – SSAFA works tirelessly to assist veterans and their families in navigating the journey from military to civilian life, providing housing support, financial aid, and general welfare assistance.

Combat Stress – For veterans struggling with mental health issues, Combat Stress offers dedicated support for PTSD, anxiety, and depression, with tailored programmes to ensure that every veteran gets the care they need. [Visit: combatstress.org.uk]

At EMFS, we’re immensely proud to have veterans on our team and to support the wider veteran community. This Remembrance Sunday, we remember the sacrifices of those who served and reaffirm our commitment to supporting veterans and their families as they build their futures.

Lest we forget - Rmembrance Sunday
